‘I am deeply shocked by the sad demise of Shri. E. Ahamed, one of India’s most respected elder statesmen whose contributions to India’s foreign policy achievements are immense especially in defense of Indian Nationals who are working in the Gulf region’ said George Abraham, Chairman of the Indian National Congress, USA. ‘I have also lost a friend whom I have come to respect for his firm stand protecting the secular fabric of the nation and promoting communal harmony among its people. The void created by his demise in Indian politics is irreparable, I express my heartfelt condolences and may his soul rest in peace.’ Added Mr. Abraham. Late Ahamed was a frequent visitor to the United Nations in New York and was hosted by INOC, USA on several occasions.
