New York: The Indo-American Press Club, Inc (IAPC) is organizing an International Media Conference in New York from October 9 through 12, 2015 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, 3845 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma, NY, 11779.

The conference will be officially inaugurated on Saturday (Oct 10) at 10 am. The International Media Conference, bringing together an array of eminent journalists and media experts from the US, Canada, India, Australia and UAE, offers an excellent platform to the delegates for networking and learning. The Conference is designed as a uniquely valuable professional development opportunity, featuring educational seminars and workshops, discussing and analyzing new trends and methods with a rare insight into the work of media across the world.

Topics such as News Reporting and Writing Techniques, Exploring Social and Environmental Causes through Documentaries, Politics and Media, Social Media Impact on Journalism, Live Streaming, Social Activism as a Way of Life, Freedom of Expression, etc will be addressed during the seminars and workshops.

A high-profile public meeting and gala banquet is scheduled on Sunday (Oct 11) at 6 pm. During the public meeting, IAPC will be honoring social activist Daya Bai with the IAPC International Sathkarma Award, Boby Chemmanur, philanthropist/entrepreneur with the IAPC International Sathbhavana Award and V.K Ebrahimkunju, Minster for Public Works, Kerala Govt with the IAPC Minister of Excellence Award.

IAPC has been undertaking activities to promote and encourage journalism students and citizen journalists by conducting competitions in areas such as writing and photography and the winners will be receiving prizes at the public meeting.
