Joseph Pallattusheril Varghese (Kunjumon) age 74 was called to glory while on vacation in India on Aug. 15, 2015. Joseph was born on October 16, 1940 to late P. J. Varghese and Annamma Varghese. He spent his childhood at Pallattusheril Girisheril house Valiyakulangara, Mavelikkara, Kerala.

At the age of 20, after attending Mahatma Higher Secondary School in Chennithala, he moved toBhopal and started his career at BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.) in the personal department and retired as Assistant Superintendent Accountant. After retiring from BHEL in 1989, he immigrated with family to USA. Joseph got married on December 28,1969 to Remani daughter of late Thanical Iype Cherian and Sosamma Cherian (Thannickal House Kottayam).

They have two children Binu married to Merin and Bindu (Sharon) married to Manoj. The children aresettled in Westchester, NY and Dallas, TX respectively. Joseph has four grandchildren: Melanie, Timothy, Aaron and Joshua.

He is survived by his younger brother P. V. Varkey, Mavelikara, Kerala and sisters Saramma Varghese, Susamma George, Valsa Abraham and late Kunjamma George.

Joseph was an active member of St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Yonkers, New York. Joining our father in heaven, Joseph leaves behind his loving wife, two children their respective spouses four grandchildren and extended family members in India, U.S. and Canada.
